Theodore J. (“TJ”) Schick is counsel with Fowler, Hirtzel, McNulty & Spaulding, LLC, where he focuses his practice on the defense of civil litigation matters, including personal injury and premises liability.
TJ brings a valuable perspective to his defense practice, having previously represented plaintiffs in complex litigation. His experience on both sides of the aisle provides insight into plaintiff strategies, case valuation, and litigation tactics, allowing him to effectively assess exposure and develop practical, results-driven defense strategies for his clients.
TJ has substantial experience handling matters through all phases of litigation, from initial investigation through resolution. He has conducted extensive factual investigations, worked closely with engineering and medical experts, and performed detailed analyses of damages claims. He is skilled at identifying weaknesses in claims, evaluating causation issues, and developing defenses grounded in both the facts and applicable law.
TJ has been selected to Pennsylvania Super Lawyers Rising Stars from 2022 through 2025 and has been included in The Best Lawyers in America for 2024 through 2026. He has also been named to The National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40.
TJ earned his Juris Doctor from Temple University Beasley School of Law, where he was a staff member of the Temple International and Comparative Law Journal and received multiple academic honors. He earned his Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from Lafayette College, where he double majored in philosophy and government and law.
He is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and is admitted to the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Pennsylvania. He is an active member of the Lehigh and Northampton County Bar Associations and previously served as Chair of the Lehigh County Bar Association Young Lawyers Division. TJ is also a member of The Verdict, a band consisting of attorneys and judges from Lehigh and Northampton Counties.
