Alice M. Elmer is an associate attorney in the Philadelphia office of Fowler Hirtzel McNulty and Spaulding. She focuses her practice on the defense of civil litigation matters involving commercial vehicle matters, construction injury and defect cases, and products liability.

Prior to joining FHMS, Ms. Elmer worked for a Philadelphia plaintiff’s firm handling complex, high-impact national litigation involving Class action and mass torts. In this practice, she focused on automobile defects, consumer protection, products liability, and sexual assault and harassment claims. Her experience includes representing Plaintiffs through all stages of litigation from pleadings through Class Certification and, frequently, achieving resolution through settlement.

Ms. Elmer earned her undergraduate degrees in art and gender studies from the University of Redlands. Prior to law school she worked in the publishing industry. In 2021, she graduated from Temple University Beasley School of Law with a Certificate in Business Law. During this time she was awarded a Beasley Scholarship and Weisman Fellowship. While there, Ms. Elmer served as an intern with the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Washington, D.C. and the Pennsylvania Office of the Attorney General. She also participated as a Law and Public Policy Scholar. In this role, she presented at the 2020 Law and Society Association Conference. She has also participated in the 2020 ABA Law Student Tax Challenge and on Temple University’s Faculty Selection Committee.
