Samuel M. Johnson is an associate in the Philadelphia office whose practice focuses on civil litigation, general liability, and insurance defense. He works with clients and insurers to analyze complex factual records, assess liability and causation, and develop clear, persuasive written work product throughout the litigation process.
While at Temple Law, Samuel clerked for the Philadelphia Commerce Court, where he researched commercial litigation issues, drafted memoranda, and observed trial proceedings. He also gained experience in mass tort litigation with a plaintiffs’ firm.
Samuel earned his J.D. from Temple University Beasley School of Law, where he served as Online Managing Editor of the Temple Law Review and received the Law Faculty Scholarship, the school’s highest scholarship award. His article, “Fiscal Sponsorship in Truly Independent Film: Entity and Model Choice and Legal Risk,” was published in the Washington Journal of Law, Technology & Arts. He also holds an M.F.A. from the University of Southern California’s Peter Stark Producing Program and a B.A. (cum laude) from Harvard University.
