Zyta M. Zegar is an associate attorney in the Philadelphia office of Fowler Hirtzel McNulty & Spaulding. She focuses her practice on the defense of commercial transportation, construction, premises liability, and personal injury claims. She brings a comprehensive litigation background that has spanned civil defense, criminal prosecution, and complex investigations. She has a unique depth of experience with providing clients with strategic advocacy. Her ability to evaluate cases, communicate effectively with clients, and develop strong defenses make her an invaluable advocate for her clients. Ms. Zegar previously worked at a Philadelphia civil defense firm where she defended clients in matters involving motor vehicle accidents, premises liability claims, and construction defect claims.
Prior to entering private practice, Ms. Zegar was an Assistant District Attorney in the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office where she prosecuted serious felony cases including robberies, aggravated assaults, firearm offenses, and sexual assaults. Ms. Zegar also previously worked as an Attorney Investigator at the Office of Inspector General at the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA), where she conducted internal investigations into matters involving waste, fraud, and abuse.
Ms. Zegar earned her bachelor’s degree from Temple University and worked as a paralegal for several years before attending Widener University School of Law while working full-time.
