Richard P. Santosusso is an associate in the Philadelphia office of Fowler Hirtzel McNulty & Spaulding, LLP.  He focuses his practice on the defense of construction injury and defect cases, commercial vehicle matters, and general liability cases.

Prior to joining FHMS, Mr. Santosusso worked for two other defense firms handling a broad range of cases including, medical malpractice, premises liability, general liability, products liability, and construction defect cases.  His experience includes representing clients through all stages of litigation from pleadings through trial and appeal.

Mr. Santosusso served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Donna Woelpper in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas.  His role included a wide range of tasks including drafting opinions, preparing jury instructions, providing legal analysis, and drafting recommendations for rulings on motions.  He also served as a Judicial Fellow to the Honorable Linda Carpenter, Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas.

Mr. Santosusso is a 2015 graduate of the Villanova University, Charles Widger School of Law.  While in law school, he was a Certified Legal Extern at the Defender Association of Philadelphia and an intern for the Honorable Denis P. Cohen, Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas.  He served on the Villanova Law Moot Court Executive Board, where he participated in interscholastic competitions and lead Villanova Law’s internal competition.

He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
