Rick is an associate in Fowler, Hirtzel, McNulty & Spaulding’s Lancaster office.  Rick defends civil litigation matters in the areas of premises, auto and municipal liability claims as well as claims arising under 42 U.S.C. Section 1983.

Prior to joining FHMS, Rick worked for a local firm defending all aspects of medical professional liability claims.  He also clerked for the Honorable Noel E. Primos of the Superior Court of Delaware where he regularly performed legal research and drafted opinions on a multitude of matters and gained exposure to civil litigation in the courtroom.

Rick earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Penn State University, where he earned recognition on the Dean’s List.  At Penn State Law, he was part of the National Environmental Law Moot Court team and Penn Statim, the online companion to the Penn State Law Review.  His recognitions in law school include the Public Interest Award and the CALI Award.

Prior to entering the legal profession, Rick spent substantial time working in construction where he assembled and installed ductwork for a commercial construction company based in Newark, Delaware.  When not practicing law, Rick enjoys spending time with his wife and children, fishing, and baseball.  Rick is a native of Oxford, Pennsylvania.
