Katherine Rice is an associate in the Philadelphia office of Fowler Hirtzel McNulty and Spaulding. She concentrates her practice on the defense of civil litigation matters involving commercial transportation, construction accidents, premises liability, and product liability.

Prior to joining FHMS, Ms. Rice worked as an Associate Attorney for a law firm outside of Indianapolis, Indiana, handling a broad range of cases. While there, she defended worker’s compensation matters, general liability disputes, and premises liability cases.

Ms. Rice graduated from Miami University of Ohio in 2014 and received her Juris Doctor from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2017. While in law school, she was a judicial intern for Judge Anne E. Covey of the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania. She was named a member of the Order of the Barristers and participated on the Moot Court Board for the Robert H. Staton Intramural Moot Court Competition in Indianapolis.  She competed as co-captain in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court Competition, traveling to Guadalajara, Mexico and Vienna, Austria for the pre-moot and moot court competitions.  While in law school, Ms. Rice was an active member of the Women’s Caucus and an Associate Editor of the Indiana International and Comparative Law Review. Ms. Rice is dedicated and driven in all aspects of her life and work. During her time at Miami University, she competed as a member of Team USA in synchronized skating and won two national championships with her team in the U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships.

Ms. Rice is admitted to practice in Indiana and Pennsylvania.
