Katie Rice concentrates her practice on the defense of civil litigation matters including premises liability and personal injury cases.

Prior to joining FHMS Law, Ms. Rice defended matters for clients in a suburb of Indianapolis, Indiana. Ms. Rice gained experience in a broad range of practice areas, including commercial transportation and motor vehicle accidents, worker’s compensation matters, family law disputes, immigration cases, and premises liability.

Ms. Rice graduated from Miami University of Ohio in 2014 and received her Juris Doctor from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2017. While in law school, she interned for the Honorable Anne E. Covey of the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania. Ms. Rice was named a member of the Order of the Barristers and participated on the Moot Court Board for the Robert H. Staton Intramural Moot Court Competition in Indianapolis. She competed as co-captain in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court Competition, traveling to Guadalajara, Mexico and Vienna, Austria for competitions. Ms. Rice was also an active member of the Women’s Caucus and as Associated Editor of the Indiana International and Comparative Law Review.

In her spare time, Ms. Rice enjoys reading, listening to true crime podcasts, and figure skating. During her time at Miami University, she competed as a member of Team USA in synchronized skating and won two national titles with her team at the U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships. Ms. Rice is also a 2022 Harrisburg’s Finest Honoree for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
