FHMS Attorneys Speak at 2016 Claims and Litigation Management Annual Conference

Joe Fowler, Greg Hirtzel and John Sparks all spoke at the 2016 Claims Litigation Management Annual Conference in Orlando, Florida.

 The Claims and Litigation Management Alliance (CLM) promotes and furthers the highest standards of claims and litigation management and brings together the thought leaders in both industries. CLM’s Members and Fellows include risk and litigation managers, insurance and claims professionals, corporate counsel, outside counsel and third party vendors. The CLM sponsors educational programs, provides resources and fosters communication among all in the industry.

Joe Fowler’s presentation was titled, Excess carrier: Friend or Foe and dealt with the nuances of the relationship between counsel, the insured, the primary carrier and the excess carrier. Joe’s panel included Lea Kapral from Acuity Insurance and Julie Oh Kenworthy from Airgas.

Greg Hirtzel’s session dealt with Technology and was titled, Event Data to Autonomous Vehicle Technologies- Where are We Going. Greg was joined by Steve Schorr from DJS Associates and Steve Garner from the Westfield Group.

John Sparks was part of a panel in the Litigation Management group. The session was titled, Panel Counsel Performance measurement: Understanding and  Communicating How Success is Measured. The panel included, Mary Haefer from Cap Specialty, Craig Hartsuyker from Farmers Insurance Exchange, Brad Spicer from Cincinnati Insurance Company and Dan Winkler from the Westfield Group. Vince Venturella from Wolters Kluwer, ELM Solutions served as both moderator and a member of the panel.
